Keke's Breakfast Cafe
The Orlando-based restaurant opened it doors in Lake Nona this week and it safe to say the community is elated. The 5,100 square-foot, 150-seat cafe is located in the Eagle Creek shopping center and is expected to draw crowds from Lake Nona's medical city which boasts more than 5,000 workers. According to Orlando Business Journal. 25-30 workers were hired for the restaurant's launch to handle the traffic. Keke's is best known for their fresh, homemade breakfast dishes using the "best ingredients available." Expect things like waffles, pancakes, french toast, omelets and other morning favorites.
PDQ
This Tampa based restaurant is serving up delicous food with friendly service - just like their namesake promises. PDQ stands for "People Dedicated to Quality" and the Lake Nona staff is already proving that to be true with all their great Google reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations. PDQ promises fresh, never frozen ingredients with no hormones or steroids which is on par with Lake Nona's healthy lifestyle. The fan-favorite here are the tenders and nuggets but the eatery also serves up hand-tossed salads, sandwiches and hand-spun shakes.
